Mount Bundy Gold Project

The Northern Territory is one step closer to welcoming its tenth operating mine, with the NT Government granting Primary Gold a deemed mining licence for the Mount Bundy Gold Project, located about 100 km south-east of Darwin.

The Mount Bundy project includes the Rustlers Roost and Quest 29 open pit mines, along with a workers camp, processing plant, tailings storage facilities, gas pipeline and associated infrastructure.

Once operational, it is expected to become the Territory’s second-largest gold mine, with a projected mine life of around 17 years and first gold production targeted for Q1 2028.

The project is expected to create more than 400 jobs during construction, including through the construction of a new gas pipeline connection to the existing Amadeus pipeline to power the operation.
