Home and Business Battery Scheme

The Home and Business Battery Scheme (HBBS) has now reached its $6 million funding allocation and is now closed to new grants.

Applications that have been submitted but not yet approved, along with new applications received, will only be considered if funding is available. There is no guarantee that any application will be assessed or approved.

While applicants may still choose to proceed with battery installation at their own expense, only installations approved through a formal HBBS grant notification will be eligible for funding. Where works are undertaken without prior HBBS approval, applicants will be responsible for the full costs.
