STRIKE
Introduction
The Spatial Territory Resource Information Kit for Exploration (STRIKE) is the department's web-mapping application for geoscientific data and minerals and energy tenure information in the Northern Territory (NT) for both industry and government users.
This guide provides information on how to use STRIKE, how to access WMS services and NT wide datasets.

Tools
- Enabled custom user bookmarks.
- Improved print legend layout and updated map surround information.
- Enabled map tips on Hylogged Drillholes and Bottom Hole Temperature layers.
Data
- Configured all point data export to contain x and y coordinate columns.
Update: 19 December 2023
Layers
- Added Google (Satellite, Maps and Hybrid), Open Street base maps.
- Turned off Aerial Photography as the initial base map and made Geological Regions as the default layer in the map view.
- Added Bottom Hole Temperature layer under Drilling.
Tools
- Added right-click context menu on the map window.
- Enabled redline tool Export to Shapefile.
- Adjusted legend to not show the default object symbologies when printing.
Data
- Adjusted Mineral Occurrences layer attributes and field width.
- Fixed natural resources layers to correct zoom levels.
- Added tenure reference number in Land Information > Cadastre.
Update: 18 September 2023 – NT Aerial Image

- The NT Aerial Image background is now turned off by default as requested by users.
Update: 17 July 2023 - Designated area
Layers
- Added new layer Designated Area that determines which petroleum interests must pay an uplift factor in addition to annual monitoring and compliance levy as defined in Schedule 4A of the Petroleum Regulations 2020 (Northern Territory).

- Web Map Services (WMS) for the native title layers are sourced from from the portal data.gov.au and are currently offline due to technical issue that is being addressed.
