Hydrogen
Hydrogen has long been called the fuel of the future with its appeal lying in its ability to produce energy with minimal environmental impact.
The Middle Arm Precinct (the precinct)
The Northern Territory Government is working with industry and the Australian Government to transform Middle Arm into a ‘development ready’ industrial precinct with common user infrastructure. The precinct is being master planned and could include industries such as hydrogen production and carbon capture, utilisation and storage.

NT Hydrogen Supply Chain map
The NT Hydrogen Supply Chain map is a graphical overview of the potential hydrogen supply chain in the NT. It shows the possible feedstock inputs, production pathways, processes, applications and likely end uses of hydrogen.
It includes both green hydrogen (water electrolysis) and blue hydrogen (natural gas with carbon capture).

NT Hydrogen Supply Chain Statement of Capability Report
The NT Hydrogen Supply Chain Statement of Capability Report provides a thorough assessment of current local industry capability to support a future hydrogen industry in the NT.
The Report was developed by ICN NT with input from government, local businesses and industries.
ICN NT evaluated local trade, service, and supply capabilities, outlining the region’s current strengths, supply chain readiness, and areas where national or international support may be required.

Hydrogen regulatory review
The Department of Mining and Energy has developed the NT hydrogen projects regulatory map for industry. The map provides an overview of the key NT legislation that may apply to different types of hydrogen projects.
The map has been prepared to give potential hydrogen proponents and users a high‑level overview of applicable NT regulatory frameworks.
